A couple of movies I feel involve survival are "Castaway" with Tom Hanks and "Swiss Family Robinson" the Disney version. Both of these movies are about people who do not expect to be stranded. The movie, "Castaway" involves a plane crash and the character having to fight for the ultimate survival.

the decent!!! omg that movie was kind of scarey but its about a group of girls who go into a uncharted cave and there are like these human type creatures that live in the cave that eat them and in the end the weakest person survives! its awesome!

You have got to see "The Edge" with Alec Baldwin and Anthony Hopkins.......GREAT movie about survival in Alaska.
