You should have asked why "some" people feel that way. Not everyone does. Some men love dark-skinned women; others don't. It comes down to preferences. There is definitely colorism within the black race...as well as other races. However, there are people who prefer women with black and brown skin. It is a cliche, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm biracial and extremely fair-skinned with delicate features...but I've been called unattractive before. It depends on who is looking. What some people see as "beautiful" might not be beautiful to others. I certainly have my own personal opinions/preferences of what beauty is. And so do you. We all do. It is unfortunate that many black women (or some darker women of other races) are made to feel that because of their skin, they are inferior to lighter types.

I can’t see why this question is racist. It’s like do I like strawberry or vanilla. I am a black Brit who is really attracted to extremely black women. I don’t know why, especially as most of my girlfriends have been natural blonds. I always find very black women gorgeous and very sexually attractive. Only occasionally do you see a really black woman in England. Two years ago I went to Ghana on a business consultancy and beautiful pitch black women were everywhere … damn! As a generalisation, I find the most beautiful women are Indian, Thai and Turkish; but at the individual level the most beautiful woman is the one on your arm - even if you are a dog like me.

I wouldn't find pitch black attractive because I'm just not used to seeing it. Human beings aren't programmed to find extremes to be attractive.

I think both are gorgeous. I'm very white but I look at people with really dark skin sometimes and I'm jealous. It's so beautiful and flawless. But...I like my skin too.

I think they are both beautiful. I have seen gorgeous very dark black people and white people. The Masai people of Africa are a beautiful graceful tribe.

Actually, in dark skin...the features are more accentuated. Many beauties are dark skinned! Attraction has to do with sharp features and not color

Why do you even care? It shouldn't matter, at all! You sound kind of racist, which is bad. Get a broader view on life!
