If you really want to have "fun", try arguing that our generation's values are no less worthy than those of our predecessors, especially the baby-boomers and whatnot.
It'll get your teacher's attention for sure, but you'll have to put a bit of work into it.

I believe that the first thing you need to do is decide what type of value you feel most confident discussing. If you have strong beliefs about moral values that may be a topic or if you would rather talk about material value that is another type of value.
Once you have decided which type of value you want to discuss then you need to ask yourself what you think about the issue. It will be much easier for you to argue for something you believe in. If you jot down ideas while doing this it will also give you good paragraph points to use later on when you start writing.
I hope these strategies will help.

The first thought that came to my mind is comparing the value of two different pieces of furniture. Same type, but old v. new. Antiques are pricier than a lot of new furniture because of their value or quality. Most of the furniture now days is built to fail.
You can use the same argument on phones, cars, etc. Older vehicles with non computerized components didn't get as good gas mileage, but they were easier to maintain and cheaper to run.

Do a speech about why racism is bad. It's about the value of humans everywhere. Although it's not very creative, it's a quaint little feel-good topic and it'll get you a good grade if you do it right. Good luck.

Cold in the wintertime is different from cold in the summertime.
"One man's trash is another man's treasure."
It's all perception.
