How old are u? College or High School? The average height and weight for a Division 1 College center is 6'9 and 255pounds. I am 6'8 and 225pounds and I am still a little under sized to play center.
At 6'0 and 170 pounds, you better not only know how to shoot, but be fast, and a good passer cos a point guard will probably be the position most suited for you.
I wouldn't hurt to get into the gym and put a couple more pounds of muscle on though. It will help you not get pushed around or posted up by taller guards.

It probably proper if the institution are not able to have the funds for to sponsor additional groups. Plus you do desire to have a threat to play no longer simply sit down at the bench. And the pleasant avid gamers don't time to expand for this reason they gambling time will have to no longer be reduce. I recognise the sensation while I was once in Cath grade institution they usually first further basketball I bought reduce and so did considered one of my peers - he cried on the reduce consultation and I went dwelling and did not speak to my peers for a pair days. It harm plenty however watching again I see the purpose. In soccer we didn't reduce and it was once no a laugh sitting the bench or being train fodder the primary 12 months.

If you are only 6 feet tall, you should think of being a guard. Unless of course you go to a school where you are the tallest person there.
