How does Birth control effect Hormones & mood?

Explan to me the Hormones effected, their effect on the brain & body?

Personal experiences with various forms of birth control, & your opinions of their effectiveness & side effects ( change of mood / loss of sex drive ) would be great too, thanks.

Yes I was on the pill for 2years, in the begining for 2-3 weeks my circulation was wack!! My legs were swollen and I retained a lot of water, that went away then it was great periods were always on time, but the emotional rollercoaster sucked and I barley had a sex drive, it wasn't worth it, I'm glad i'm off of them I use condoms with my bf If it breaks it's ment to be.
