My pet hamster, Boris, has been more aggressive than usual the last few days. Normally, he's playful and friendly, and just likes to sleep and run in his wheel and to eat. However, over the last few days he has started to attack people and bite them and start shouting at people in a Glaswegian accent. He also bends the bars of his cage, climbs out and rides around on the dog, trying to catch the cat. I'm worried what will happen if he catches it. I also caught him climbing into the fridge and drinking my beer. When I tried to pick him up and put him back in his cage, he pulled off my ears and now I'm in pain. I'm really worried, has anyone else had a hamster go aggressive like this before? It seems totally out of character, and I'm worried he's been associating with other hamsters, and has picked up a drug habit.

I've noticed something similiar to this with my male hamster, Benz. When I came home from school, Benz had opened his cage doors and had put on some of my clothes and make-up and was prancing around infront of the mirror. When I tried to pick him up, he hit me with the purse he was carrying. Do you know what could be wrong?

SYRIAN hamsters are consistently meant to be stored solitary (via themselves) as quickly as offered from the breeder. while DWARF hamsters must be stored with a minimum of one important different of the comparable breed, and in no way on my own as they could get disenchanted, and not act regularly. no count if it particularly is a syrian hamster, attempt those concepts which helped me tame my somewhat aggressive hamster: while giving a handle, rustle the bag, so as that as quickly as they are given a hamster chocolate or biscuit they could relate to the ound, and understand that it particularly is a competent sound. sit down in an empty bathtb (blocked drain for sure) which incorporate your hamster and permit it roam around, scent you, get used on your heady scent. do no longer attempt finding out on it up till it procedures you calmy. once you p.c.. your hamster up from the cage, talk as you do it. Hamsters have very undesirable eyesight and prefer an assuring voice or sound that sounds calm, so they dont panic while somebody tries to snatch it. placed on gloves while coping with earlier each and every thing if the hamster bites somewhat alot. additionally, be on the element of the floor, as I even have chanced on, some leap out of your palms while worried or scared. wish I helped :)

That dumbass Funchy just did, is she stupid?? I wouldn't care about the behaviour but the accent? Jesus, he's taken it too far this time, the only way to deal with it is to remove all of his privileges till he complies, i.e. no wheel, ball or mini LCD TV. He thinks about nobody but himself these days, he needs reminding who's boss, the ungrateful little sod

I had a rat go gage crazy. Only two days after getting it.
I resettled it, in nearby countryside.
For a caged, domestically bred animal, after a minute or two of nerves, it jumped in brook, miraculously learned to swim....and buggerd off.

I suggest that you let Boris into the garden to play with Spiny Norman - he will be hungry if he has not yet begun hibernation.
