You are absolutely right! We need another 300 Billion dollar pork bill passed on transportation budget, another trillion dollars dumped into the Iraqi war. The flourishing of the B!stards who actually attacked us in Afghanistan and let us not forget to mentioning handing the war over there to Nato. The republicans love to make fun of our allies but does it strike anyone funny that our involvement in afghanistan is pathetic and the taliban are digging in as if it was another soviet invasion? No, this election proved the needs of America to grow out of insecurity and progress into a new order. Things will be done under a democratic congress that have not been done for fifteen years. Congress under republicans gave themselves a nice fat "living expense" wage increase but the minimum wage is still at 5.15 an hour. I could not pay my fuel bill (thanks to production losses and insecurity sponsored by our beloved republican party)at those wages or even attempt to live off it. The republican party has reigned far to long with out a sufficient check and balance on it. This development in our political affairs has been long overdue and will help us begin the healing of mismanagement of our previous congress.


Better jobs require education and time. You don't automatically 'get' better jobs and the fact that wages have not moved with inflation is a national issue, not a personal issue. Like it or not, the government is heavily responsible in our personal lives and the entity has a responsibility to us the voters. If I have to suffer inflation, bad economic levels, the least the government can do is keep pace.


Maybe, I have given you the wrong impression of myself. I am by no means poor. I drive a $35,000 luxury car and I live in a wealthy community. My point is living costs are not keeping pace with wages. It is difficult to work and attend college at the same time and college costs are continually rising. Enough about me, lets put this back into the ball court. You critique an issue that Democrats will raise taxes. The Republicans followed a similiar process to tax & spend except it was more of borrow & spend. Financial responsibility is important in congress and the Republicans are running a nasty track record in my book of pork barreling.

Then after he handed the country over to Georgie Boy, the country has gone to h*ll in a hand basket. The highest national debt in American History. The most screwed up presidential administrations on recent decades (probably since the Nixon White House). And I think America has learned. they learned that they were idiots back in 2004 when Bush was re-elected, and we put all those Repukes back in office.
