I friend gave me harvest moon and I can't seem to get pass the first part. The game won't let me go to my virtual house and start farming and it won't save my game on a new diary. Please help. I went around reading and introducing myself to everyone in town but it's still not working. Help. Thanks.

there are many harvest moon games, and you aren't giving enough information to let us help you
if it won't save your game, its' possible the game is corrupted, but i highly doubt this is the case (unless you have a gameboy color game, or the super nintendo game (in which case you can sell that for decent money: battery or no(but you need to let buyer know the battery is bad)))
most likely you're just doing something a little wrong - please, post more info

Sorry. The game I have is played through my computer. Unfortunately I am not sure of what kind this game is, since I don't know much about video games at all, as you can tell. I don't own any games console or anything so I'm quite clueless. I tried following the directions of the game and greeted everyone so the guy can take me to the house and start farming, but he kept telling me to do a little more browsing. Help would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.
