well, if I can't have both, it depends on the situation. If I am tossing and turning in bed i want fast acting. If I am at work and need to be there for 8 hours, I want long lasting

fast acting to get back into the swing of things,no one wants to be tied down to a cold or flu,long lasting is good too so you don't have to keep track of when next dose is
