she during the marriage was diagnosed with lupus and is on disablity but now is in school....support? I make 3,800 a month what about child support for 1 kid...newborn how much would that be..I have no other kids

She can get support for the child even if you were never married. Plan to pay at least 1200 a month.

You will be required to pay child support - as well you should. You may also be required to carry medical coverage for your child. As far as alimony, maybe. It depends on how good your lawyer is, and how good hers is, and the attitude of the judge.

Because of her illness they might force you to pay. But I would check with a lawyer that practices in your state. Here in Illinois she would only be eligible for may 6months support and 20% of your salary for childsupport.

Yes you will have to pay child support and here where I live it was based on my ex husbands income.What is it with you all dead beat dads not wanting to help support your child. If you all don't want to help support keep dick in pants damn dead beat dads. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr you all piss me right the f_ _ _ off.

in iowa child support can be as much as 30% but remember you do have responsabilty for this child. as for allimony you have to be married 10yrs in this state.
