I have waited at least 3 or 4 years for a major change in government. Now Rumsfeld has resigned and the democrats are in control and I just read the democratic agenda, but instead of feeling better, I'm still nervous. Is anyone else? Could I just be afraid of change in general? Is this normal?

Give the new leadership a chance before you start packing your bags and moving away.

Conflicted is not the word I would use; I would go for annoyed and disappointed. Now nothing at all will be accomplished, but the credit for good things coming into being now because of the Republican administration will be claimed by those who had absolutely nothing to do with their implementation. Our military personal will be subject to cruel jokes (like those from John Kerry) and the current party will find treating the military personal like dirt acceptable. Democrats are no friend to the military.

You're nervous because you read the Democratic Agenda.

You read their agenda and educated yourself a bit. Good for you!

I'm not worried because anything in this world is temporal. My eternal spirit belongs to Christ and I read the book.... in the end, He wins! :o)

Change is always a little frightening, but this could be real bad.
