Because it makes a big difference who organizes the houses of Congress.

Because most people are too lazy to find out what a candidate believes or stands for. Lumping them all into one or two (three in some cases) parties lets them not have to do any work and just follow the party.

I honestly think the media stirred up the pot for their own gain. They make you think that people are shouting at each other everyday discussing party politics.

There are bad politicians in both parties. I wish all of them would be voted out of office.

Just like the government, majority & minaraty it's the group as whole that gives them the power. power is what counts it's just like the democrates run the senate now hopefully it will stop bushes agenda.

most are moderates anymore.

but the independants just **** everything up for the democrats
