True. It's still the people who can choose to be bad or good. God has nothing to do with it.

G O D is a concept ! Nature is truth ! Read "worlds in collision" by Immanuel Velikovsky, You can find a copy on ABE BOOKS.
After reading, you will wonder why this book isn't in every world history classroom on the planet. The answer to that is obvious. I am sure you will enjoy how Velikovsky has sought a synthesis of knowledge and reason in the fields of science, legend and religion. If you read it, email me and let me know your thoughts.

I think it is rather naive to attribute your disbelief to "all the injustices". For example, understand that we look at God as something than which nothing greater can be imagined with all perfections. God exists in human understanding, and atheists maintain He doesn't exist in reality. The concept of God existing in reality exists in human understanding. If an entity exists both in reality and in human understanding, this entity is greater than if it existed in understanding alone. Hence, this would be a more perfect entity than the all perfect God we imagine. God exists. Additionally, attributing injustices to God is seeing Him as existent in our space and time. He still controls the laws of nature, and free will is what allows for us to realize that we are not God because it sees evil as the absence of God. If humans are inherently good, than why does evil exist? It exists because we have free will to trump our innate moral conscience and understanding. Finally, as imperfect individuals, how could we possibly have a conception of perfection if it was not God who endowed us with this ability? Hope this can rationalize society's materialist push towards atheism, and why it is wrong.

Actually, you did not ask a question, but rather made a statement concerning your doubts concerning God. Do you want to believe in God? Do you think it's important for other to believe in God? And suppose you stop believing--how will that change you or the world as you know it?

You are right. God is an illusion made up to control people. TV evangalists, Catholic inquisitions and murdering people in the name of 'God' all conspire to tell me that there is no God merely a collective insanity which we call God.

The belief in a higher power gives you the strength you need. It is not the higher power.
