She obviously needs help with serious issue(s) that are clouding her perception of what constitutes a normal, healthy relationship (you both need the help to save your marriage because if your libido is high there's a good chance you'll eventually seek sex elsewhere and your marriage will fall apart). My partner and I are in our mid 50's and enjoy a very active, fulfilling sex life. There is no time to 'stop having sex' because of age. Some people lose interest in varying degrees as they age, and I think that is considered normal, but to suddenly want to stop is likely an indication of something your wife is either in denial about or isn't aware of. There are many possible reasons for disinterest in sex - fatigue, medications, hormones, problems in your relationship, etc. The best thing you can do for her and for your marriage is to seek professional help - first a doctor to investigate physical causes and perhaps then a therapist if a physical cause can't be identified - and to work together on rebuilding a fulfilling intimate life.

Huh? It's not true for anyone. There's no such thing as a time to stop having sex. Why in God's name would two healthy people in their 30s stop having sex? Great sex is one of the reasons to celebrate life. Unless your wife never liked it and is just using this as an excuse.

I think that your wife might developing Inhibited Sexual Desire (ISD). The person with ISD fails to initiate or respond to their partner's desire for sexual activity.
ISD is a very common sexual disorder. The most common cause of ISD seems to be relationship problems wherein one partner does not feel emotionally intimate or close to their mate.
Communication problems, health problems such as depression, insomnia, excessive stress.
Treatment is required by the professional therapist and it depends on the eliminating causes listed above.

Oh crap, there's an age limit for sex?
Your wife is a bit young to not want to have sex. Perhaps she's having some kind of hormonal difficulties? I was always lead to believe that our sex drive peaked in our later years. PLEASE IT CAN"T BE A LIE! Are there other things going on that would lead her not to want to have sex?
Hope she changes her mind about things soon. Good Luck.

You ask ..Is this bad? Your wife wants to stop having sex and her excuse is: because you are both in your 30's----Sounds bad, sounds very, very bad to me! Sounds very bad FOR YOU! Sounds like a crock to me. Healthy men and woman can have sex as often as they want and can into their 90's...you're never too old to have sex as long as you have a willing partner. It sounds like your wife skipped midlife crisis and is heading straight to medicare and the rest home. What's a stallion like you to do?
