They dont like pepper and they don't like citrus fruit. Go to a wholesaler and get cheap white pepper and sprinkle it over your garden or try that stuff you can get in garden centres called 'get off'. Squeeze oranges and grapefruits and place the skins upside down around your garden. This has extra benefits - you get lovely fresh juice to drink and slugs will collect under the citrus skins (then you can put them into your neighbours garden !).
I've seen people fill empty plastic bottles with water and put them on their lawn to stop cats fouling there. Think it's got something to do with the way the light shines through it - scares cats.
I'd keep watch as much as possible to see if there is any one real offending cat out of the bunch. If so, you could perhaps have a word with your neighbour but really, it is difficult to control cat's behaviour.
Good luck - I sympathise. Cat poo is really horrible and even worse when you dont even own the cat!

There is a plant advertised that cat's and dog's hate . Can't remember the full name but it's part of the salvia family. I think it's only an annual though so you have to re-new it every year. You could also try giving your neighbour some catnip plants as a present. Cat's love this plant and they will roll about in it all day. If they have catnip in their garden you shouldn't see any of their cat's. Hope this helps.

that's a lot of cats for one house hold, are they all well looked after? it's a nasty problem, especially if you have children as it becomes a health hazard.
you could ask the RSPCA for they may be able to help. even though it is a private issue . your local council may also have a department that can help.
it think the problem may be covered by some nuisance or health and safety law.
i suffered a similar problem previously with just 2 cats.
i know you can buy pepper dust that can deter some cats as can lemon juice (or the pith as it's outdoors) as most cats hate citrus.
good luck sorting it out.

I heard of a product that you can buy. I think it is Big Cat Poo in a box (Lion or Tiger or something.) Just sprinkle it about your property and they won't come around. You can buy it in posh garden centres. You can also get Battery operated Ultrasonic Cat Scare things, that have an Infra Red Sensor so they wont get used to the noise.
My Jack Russell does the job for me, he hates cats. Dogs Rule!

I had to go to the village board meeting and complain. I did my homework first. I called the police, I called animal control, I called the department of health. They all passed the buck and said they couldn't do anything about the problem. When I complained to the board they said the same thing. I got angry and said, " You are the village board you must be able to do what no other department is willing or able to do, quite frankly your answer is unacceptable". They told me they would look into it and I would be called the next morning. The village president called me first thing and by that evening there were officers at the neighbors house telling him to fix the problem. They came back several times over the next few weeks. My neighbor doesn't have 20 cats anymore, I don't think he even has one now.

There is a product sold by a lot of different pet supply stores called "Get off my garden". It is a green gel that you put into the garden and that helps.
Also, I believe you can sprinkle Cayenne Pepper around the outer edge of your garden and that will keep most pests out.
Or, if you catch them in the act, spray them with a hose or water bottle.

We had a problem a few years ago with a cat hiding under a particular bush in our garden to attack the goldfish in the pond. My dad put an airhorn under the bush then waited till the cat crept under there and connected it up to a car battery. I've never seen a cat move so quickly. We never saw it again!

I suggest that you purchase a powerful, silenced Air Rifle(non FAC will do the job!)equip with telescope and wait for the beasts.Have no compunction;they are the biggest threat to all forms of life in the garden and should be eliminated.Do not hesitate-act!

Start throwing potatoes at them, then small stones. If this doesn't work mix 3 parts water with one part pva glue and shoot them The only way to get this off is to shave their fur. The cat should remember where this happened and not go on your garden. If all else fails mix anti-freeze with milk and have land (Cat mines). Scoop up crap and toss in their garden
Before anyone starts complaining I love animals but hate the critters crapping on my lawn. Pet owners should be more responsible, I always clear up after my dog.
