Has Hussein been tried as a war criminal? I read that he opted to be executed by firing squad but not possible because it was not a military court.

He was convicted of crimes a gainst Iraqi citizens under Iraqi law.

There was no "declaration" of war. The various countries that
invaded Iraq did so to afford freedom for it‘s own people.
This is called an intervention and not war. In fact, it was not
a military court, he was judged by an Iraqi civilian court and
not by a military court which has it‘s restrictions and would
not have been televised nor allowed any press release.

He has been convicted of crimes against humanity. I dont know if this was in amilitary court but i would doubt it, he wasnt working in a military position. He was a president not a militarian. Altho he does have roots in his countries armed forces at the time of sentencing he was a president, albeit and overthrown one

yes he has but there are other issues its not all military based ... crimes against humanity plays a big part and as he is technically not a soldier he couldn't be court martial ed and is tried as a civilian and since when has a criminal had choice in his demise if it was my choice he would be stoned but it isn't so ....me no choice and he nether

WHO KNOWS... nothing else was normal, or right anyway. So maybe USA will grant him his wish for fighting IRAN all those years for USA.
But then maybe not, because USA loves to forget it`s allies.
