Henrik Zetterberg is having an awful season and there is no reason he should be on the can't cut list....I want him taken off so I can drop him!

yes, they will review the can't cut throughout the season...but they give the players on the list more time to improve because they are, generally, the star players in the game. and this early in the season, it's gonna be a while before they start taking players off. it's way too early to start determining who is the crap of the sports.
not to be too obvious, but their own help pages say they will adjust the roster. if you've "never" seen them do so, then you're not paying attention.

"The Yahoo! league office reviews the Can't Cut List on a daily basis and adjusts for performance and injury factors. If an underachieving player remains on the list, it is because the league office feels his long-term value exceeds that of any player who might be available on the free agents list.
Players are removed if injury or performance issues cause their value to drop below that of the top players at their position."

Last season I had a "Can not Cut" player that was put on IR for the season, and could not cut him. Several weeks went by and Yahoo still had not unlocked him from the "Can not cut" list. So, I went to "Help", clicked on a question, scrolled to the bottom of the answer and clicked on "Contact Customer Care". I wrote them an e-mail explaining that it was not fair to keep the player locked, using up a space on my roster, if he is to be out for the season. The very next day he was not on the "Can not cut" list, and I received an e-mail asking if my concern was handled satisfactory. Will it work in your case? I don't know, but it is certainly worth a shot. Good luck.

I have never seen a player taken off the can't cut list during the season. They are predetermined before the season and never updated.

NO. They will not drop him off the can't cut list unless he is out.
