If my kid came home with a report card like that, I'd hang it on the fridge. You're to young to be so stressed. Just get it over with and show her. Middle school is tough, hang in there sweetie.

I don't think your grades are bad at all. If you're worried about what your mom will think, bring up the subject yourself. Let her know what exactly you're doing to try and get your grades up, and maybe the two of you can work out a plan to improve the ones you're not happy about, such as tutoring in reading and math. If she doesn't already, maybe she'd like to get involved in your studies and work with you for an hour each evening so she knows the effort you put into your work. Try not to compare yourself to your brother (I know it's hard)... and keep in mind you're doing harder work than he is right now!

WOW thats a GOOD report card. I'm sorry if your parents can't see that. Just do the best you can.

You need to have a serious talk with your parents. Not every kid is the same. If you cant do that talk to a school counselor.

Just tell her how hard you worked, I didn't get great grades either, and remind her that this is the first quater and your settling back into the groove of school. You could also tell her your meeting with teachers to pull your grades up.

As long as you tried your best, who cares. You know in your heart that you did, and thats all that matters. I am in 8th grade, and i got a 99 in everything, even a general average, but thats becuz i have confidence. You should too, just be honest and shheord, and act proud.

ok well, you can't do anything about it now. i'd say take a look at whether you really should be in honors reading, as that is apparently your worst class now. it sounds like your load is too heavy. just push on through and try to get a different schedule next time. sometimes you have to make choices, like sacrificing one subject you really like for another subject that you really like.

Try and explain to her that the high the grade level the more difficult the material is going to be.tell her that you tried hard but the material is difficult. Try and expand your vocabulary when explaining something to them ( that's what i do!)

you tried hard, thats all that matters. if you have that *awesome amazing* report card and your parents cant see that... you will still see that yourself and you are a talented person.

you and your bro are different ppl. your mom needs to stop comparing you to him. best of luck

Explain to her that the material was difficult and you tried your best. And, you'll work extra hard to get your grades up, next time.
