I would look into fitted plugs - check your area for an audiologist who can make them for you. They are comfortable since they are fitted to your ear, and they can give you filters with varying levels of protection.

I would recommend - Koss Headset "Spark Plug" – they have a good fit, and bring you excellent sound.

You could use the wax kind swimmers use, they mold to your ears exactly.
