Possibly should have started period on Monday, but Monday, yesterday and today, have had spotting (pinkish & brown, like old blood). I took an HPT on Saturday and it came back negative.

Early pregnancy tests are NOT accurate. I took an early pregnancy test on a Friday, two days before my missed period and it came out negative. My period was due the following Monday, so I took another test that day and it came out possitive. So, you should take a test on the day of your missed period or any day after that. Spotting is normal when you first get pregnant.

Try and take another test today and if is still negative give it a few days. if you still don't get it, congrats!
i'm ttc too and can't wait to find out this month.
