WIth my last pregnancy they discovered that I have a short cervix. A month after having my baby they inserted a surclog in me instead of tying my tubes. I need to know since I don't have a normal length cervix was it the right decision to give me a IUD. I am now pregnant.

well technically IUD is intra"uterine" device, you did not say anything about uterine defects in your description. besides almost all the contraceptive methods have a low percent failure rate, this is unfortunate but you hapenned to be the one, you still have a right to a second opinion. I can understand that unexplained pregnancies bring a lot of issues, but in the end, they are all a blessing, good luck
