Whether thru suicide like my brother or heart attack, today's family laws were created so lawyers could make $. Do feminists cheer everytime another father or stepfather dies?

I'm talking about the responsible "family" men-the fathers who dedicated their lives to their children and stepchildren.

Mate, when someone you love tells you that you can see your daughter once a fortnight and then teaches her to call someone else daddy. When you are treated like a criminal just because it is assumed you are a deadbeat dad. When you are financially broken to pay for support and fees.

Here in Australia the Child Support Agency have the powers to walk into your home and take possessions to pay their version of "arrears" in child support. Nearly every guy that happens to suicides and nobody cares.

8 years after my divorce I was driving along the road and someone cut me off. I felt this strange pricklly sensation and had to pull the car over. I realized eventually that my fear reaction had been missing for 8 years, because I genuinely didn't care whether I lived or died.

I am married again and still not sure I will ever emotionally recover. I will definitely never recover financially.

All of this happens to nice guys every day and nobody cares. Talk about your silent majority. You can see from the sarcastic comments that precede my post that nobody cares about these broken men.

I agree with you. The laws are terribly unfair to Fathers who want to be Fathers. I don't consider myself a feminist necessarily but as a woman I can tell you that I don't consider it a victory of any kind when a child loses a parent. No matter what the situation or how it happens. I'm sorry for your loss.

why would feminists claim that as victory?

I am a feminist and we fight for equality. That's equal rights for both women AND men. Why shouldn't the father take half the responsibility and have equal time with their child. That's what feminists want.

I am sorry to hear about your brother but please do not lay the blame on feminists. It's the law that is an a55 not a group of fair minded women (and some men too) who are fighting for justice.

No. It's an enormously sad thing when people get divorced and have a child or children. The breakup of a family is just not natural. I think a lot of (but not all) women want their child's father to stay in the picture. When I divorced, I desperately hoped that my childrens' father would spend as much time as he could with them. I made it as easy as possible for him to do so, but he decided that he wanted to be "single" and go back to being a bachelor with "no kids." He pays his child support, but does not call or visit them.

No woman wants her child to be fatherless. If a man is a reasonably good father, he should have half access to his child. The only thing is that he be good for the child's physical and emotional well-being.

NOW seems to be very professional-selection on the 2d. Yep, they're particular representing all females. Oh, and that they are calling human beings against abortion "radicals". Has a good looking ring to it, that. there's a piece on the positioning for ending violence against females. the place's the section approximately ending violence against adult males? and that they've have been given an entire section approximately misogyny yet no longer a piece approximately misanthropy in website. Yeah, all feminists somewhat do care approximately adult males, too. It shows interior the way they only ever attempt to assist females.

no feminists don't cheer when a loved one dies, whether its their ex or not. do men cheer when women die giving birth to their children? no. its extremely hard when someone commits suicide because the person left that used to be in a relationship with them often feel tons of guilt, that in some way it was their fault.

Grow up! Why is it that when ordered to pay support for a child that some men, have such a problem with it. "I may never financially recover". what ever! I receive little child support and have never taken my ex husband to court for a modification of the support, and this man doesn't even want to help me pay for braces for our son. I didn't make the laws, I only know that I have my son and I wanted him and thats what matters to me. Where did you get 1000's of fathers die? Try asking about the 1000's of mothers who struggle everyday to provide for children who are abandoned emotionally, financially and physically. I bet those numbers far outweigh yours.

Please name a specific law which is unfare to fathers.

Having a child is a life long commitment. If someone is not ready to make that commitment then they should not have children. Too many fathers are dead-beat dads which lead to the laws we have today... to protect the children.

I am sorry about your brother. Unfortunately, there were reasons leading up to the divorce that only he and his wife will ever truly know.

I am going to need you to cite a source for you "thousands of fathers" comment and be sure to included whether these deaths are aggrivated or caused by the divorce or if they would have likely naturally happened anyways during the time period.

Once I have that information we can have a real conversation.
