Help, I'm 37 weeks along, 3 cm dilated 70% Effaced. According to my doctor this baby could come at any time. However, lately I have had so much vaginal discharge I have had to wear pads and I never feel dry. (so this is what baby must feel like) It has gotten to the point that my genitals are so irritated it hurts to sit down, like a really bad yeast infection. I asked the doctor to check for a yeast infection yesterday, but the results were negative. I have not broken my water. What can I do to keep dry, I'm sure the constant wetness is causing all the irritation, but other than changing my pad often I don't know what to do. I'm sure birth will be painful enough, I don't want swollen, itchy and sore genitals too. Any ideas? (ps. I tried baby powder last night, it provided about 15 minutes of relief) I know an increase in discharge is normal, I'm not worried about how much it is, just the pain that it is causing.

The only thing I've been able to do- Is wipe, wipe and wipe some more..I'm 39wks and having the same problem, And wiping constantly seems to be my only relief.

Any discharge that smells, is itchy or is painful manner you have to be visible by way of a Dr. White discharge is average..however in view that it smells..you quite will have to get into see your OB...they'll desire to transparent this illness up immediately earlier than the youngster comes.

i do not not the answer to ure question BUT do not wear a tampon the are dangerous whilst pregnant

you could wear a tampon but your doctor will advise against it. I ware a tampon and never had problems
