If your Mum can afford it then go as school trips were some of the best times I had when I at school and I went to France twice and really enjoyed it. If your Mum is hard up then it may be that you have to stay home I'm afraid. I do hope you get to go though.

I always recommend travel. The memories and experiences you gain will be with you your entire life, while the inconvenience of the expense is temporary. Some things are worth the money. Travel is one of them. Go to France.
However, if it's really more than your mom can handle and will really cost your family serious financial strain, this may not be the right time for this trip. Save up on your own and go next time.
Good Luck.

Can your mum afford to pay for the trip or will it cause hardship ?
If it going to cause hardship you have both got to decide if it is worth it.
But why is it going to cost your mum £130 .. if you are old enough to go to France then you should be thinking of paying for the trip yourself by saving.
You could get yourself a job . Do a paper round, milkround work in a shop on saturdays .... this will give you a good lesson for life and if you grafted hard to earn your trip you will enjoy the satisfaction of acheiving something for yourself.
hope you enjoy the trip!

well, if you don't go, you'll probably regret it, however, it won't be the end of the world. do what is best for you and for your household, financially. doesn't sound all that expensive and it is right across the channel--remember, it's not like you'll never have another chance to go for the rest of your life, however, this could be a good chance to check it out and see if you ever want to bother going again in the future.
is it really for only 2 days and it's already being planned this far out? for that short of a trip i'd say go for it, if it's longer and will cost more, then definitely give it some good thought.

absolutely. but why should yor mom have to pay? between now and then, surely you could do something to raise a bit of money. If you come up with something that can earn you less than ten pounds a week between now and then, you can pay your mom back before you even leave. you will regret it if you don't go. i went to class in grade 11 (16 years old) for 6 weeks (from Canada, went for summer school) it was definitely one of the best experiences of my life, let alone my school life, and my life has not been boring! enjoy yourself; and you'll enjoy yourself even more if you send yourself. have a great time!

Absolutely. If you are worried about the money, then get a job next summer and pay her pack (or at least pay back part of it). You will not regret going to another country and learning about another culture and it sounds like you and your friends will have a blast.

Depends what £130 means to your family. How much do languages (I presume its a language trip) matter to you? Or is this just an excuse for a holiday?
