Not knowing anything specific about Texas power and if power is more or less expensive than it is under Westar Energy (Kansas) -- I paid ~$30 a month for power in a 1 bedroom apartment a year ago, and I now pay $40-45 a month for power for a 1000 square-foot house now. You can always reduce your power consumption by shifting over from incandescent bulbs to compact florescent bulbs. Were I to shift over to these bulbs, I would probably expect to shave a couple of dollars off of my electricity every month, thus paying for the bulbs with their own savings.

Do not spend more on electricity. Compare and choose the best plan for you which wll result in high savings. Log onto Shop Texas Electricity, enter your zip code and compare many deals.
