There's a bump below my kneecap. It's like it's just swollen a little. It's been like that for about 4 weeks. I decided to ice it and after I did that, it started to hurt. It also hurts when I swing my leg when I walk. It doesn't hurt when I push on it or walk on it.

Working off the above answer- Osgood-Schlatter disease affects many teenagers, so age would help. When you say below your kneecap, do you mean under your knee cap or on your shinbone? Any other info would be great.

Sarah, it would help to know your age. There is a condition - Osgood-Schlatter - that affects teenagers. It's not serious and usually resolves spontaneously if you take it easy on your knee for a while. Best to have a doc look at it if the pain and swelling persist, long term knee trouble can really limit you. Good Luck JJ

You might have fluid built up in that spot. Go to a doctor so they can check it out.
