I need to know the best place to park and the best place to view the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade (i.e. close bathrooms and food, not too crowded).

There are several parking Garages and lots in the area. Near the Library. Near the Hotels on 19th, on Callowhill st. Then their is on street parking in BreweryTown. A short walk from all locations to the Parkway.

You have to get down to the city pretty early. If you are coming from I-95, get off at Girard and take that to Girard College and park. That is in the area of 21st to 25th. Then walk through the neighborhood straight down to the parkway.
If you live in the city, take a bus or cab over, but again do so early.
There are always port-a-pots setup. Its been a couple years since I have been down there for the parade, so I don't remember about food.
Have fun, and good luck.

The best place to view it is actually on the Parkway. If you get there early, you can get good seats. The best place to park is either on Spring Garden or Fairmount Streets and walk over to the Parkway or one of the streets close to the Parkway.

I think it's only shown locally in the Philadelphia area on channel 6.

BEST TO PARK OUTSIDE THE CITYS CENTER...AND TAKE PUB. TRANS THE REST OF THE WAY IN......THERE IS NO PLACE THAT ISNT CROWDED ON PARADE DAY...AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO PARK EVEN AT THE PAY TO PARK GARAGES...THEY ARE USUALLY FULL....
