The Age of Apocalypse storyline....Prof X's has a son who travels back in time to kill Magneto so he won't arise as the leader of the bad guys. He finds Magneto in the past walking alongside Xavier when he could walk, his son fires a psionic burst at Magneto but X jumps in the way taking the blast and dying instead causing a paradox in time. In an alternate present the world is devasted and lying in ruins. Apocalypse rules the world with his Horseman exterminating humans. Magneto takes up the cause in memory of his friend Xavier and unites good and bad mutants against Apocalypse and his hoard until the Shi'ar arrive to set the timeline straight. We need to see Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse, Gambit, Bishop, and Cable alongside the rest of the returning X-Men.

Hmm..my boss would love to answer this question if he could, we've had countless debates. Here's what I'd like to see

~First off, the 'cure' that was introduced wears off. Magneto overcomes the drug and comes back stronger than ever. Xavier of course has to come back, *did anyone watch the last tidbit?*. Rogue gets her power back. I still believe she is the most powerful mutant. Granted Gene was, but she didn't have the power like Rogue did. She can take other mutants powers, even if it is temporary. Her and the Iron Man need to get together. *Granted this is not how the comic goes, but THIS is from my imagionation. Or her and...Wolverine. He has to get over Gene somehow. That who else could handle coming back from the dead after being touched by Rogue?! Okay, the start of the movie, X comes back and brings together the new and the old mutants. They start to emerge out in public, then of course Magneto brings the 'bad' mutants back and start to ruin things for the 'good' mutants. They make things happen and it gets blammed on the 'good' mutants. Thats how the war will start between the good and the bad. Humans will join in and there will be protesting. What do you think the outcome will be?!

The white space above is the best theoretic outline for X4 because there won't be any X4, at least not for a while. There are two spinoffs: Wolverine and Magneto, that are in production right now. And lets face it, who wants to see an X-Men movie without either of those two? Not me.

Well, they have to have Sentinals. There's no way around it. Sentinals are the perfect custodians (is that the right word?) of humans' fear of mutants. Plus, if the mutants are fighting robots, they can just cut loose and not have to worry about holding back to avoid killing anyone (and we'll finally get to see some good old fashioned mutant destruction).

Totally agree with Matt, Gambit is a must. And I still am peturbed by the fact that Rogue took the "cure". That is bull, she never would have taken the cure.

My guess: Just reboot the whole series like they're doing with the Hulk (and James Bond). Throw out all the dumb stuff and just get back to basics.
