Just relax. You don't have to worry about anything until your first doctors appointment. Your OB GYN will give you an internal, give you a due date, prescribe vitamins, and ask you if you have any other questions. Plus you'll get a whole crapload of magazines on parenting and motherhood and booklets and pamphlets. Your second appointment will be exciting because you'll hear the baby's heartbeat. I'm 16 weeks pregnant and a first time Mom. All I can tell you is eat healthier, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol, limit caffeine and fish with high mercury, cut down on fatty foods and greasy foods, avoid processed cheese, drink lots of milk, juice, and water. Eat crackers in the morning to help curb morning sickness. DO NOT be afraid if you experience cramping in your first trimester. That is just your uterus expanding. Call your OB GYN is you start to bleed like your having a period. If you are just having little spotty blood do not freak out. I had an incident of spotting after my internal. It's comman after sexual intercourse and internal exams. I was scared when I started spotting so I called my doctor and that's all it was. And congrats! I have an ultrasound on the 20th. I might be able to find out if I'm having a girl or boy then. Good luck and I hope this helps!

It's your body and you have the right to do whatever you want with it! When your faced with an unplanned pregnancy there are three options: Parenting Adoption Abortions. Just remember when making these decisions that it's YOUR body. It's not your moms decision what you do with it. And it's especially not up to strangers to decide for you. This is a very very important decision and if you want to keep the baby then keep the baby! Just remember that if you don't have people to support you it can make the choice harder to live with. Please consider all these options thoroughly and try to make the choice that's right for you and your life, not what your mother wants. If you go into a planned parenthood or sexual health centre you can usually get free counseling about this stuff.

You need to start taking a prenatal vitamin that includes at least 400 mg of Folic acid. This is VERY important during the first 6 weeks of the baby's development. You can get a prenatal vitamin from the drug store until you talk to the doctor. Drink lots of water and milk and start eating as many fruits and veggies as you can.

Honey just kick back and relax. There are only a few donts: dont take any medication without consulting with your doctor, no alcohol, no drugs but other than that just enjoy your self. Take a regular multi vitamin until the doctor gives you some pre-natals. You can think about the baby's room, name and how you are going to tell your Mom shes gonna be grandma. Good Luck and congratulations!!!!!!!

Buy some over the counter pre natal vitamins (don't spend too much, at this point its not horribly important) Stop drinking and smoking if you do either. Also, go out and buy "what to expect when you're expecting" which is a great reference for the whole pregnancy. Other than that, sit back, relax and try not to stress out until you see the doctor.

Go to the Pharmacy and buy Prenatal vitamins, drink water, eat healthy... since you usually find out your pregnant at about 4-6 wks, you have about 8 months more of waiting. Relax dont stress. And get plenty of sleep before the baby comes :)Congrats and take care.

There isn't much for you to do. If you smoke, stop smoking. If you drink, stop drinking. If you already exercise regularly, keep it up. If you don't, start but do it lightly. If you are not used to exercise then walking will be your best option along with some very basic yoga stretching. Try to improve your diet. Just keep in mind that most of what you should eat should have a nutritional benefit. You don't want to eat empty calories. Notice I said MOST because we still deserve to treat ourselves now and then. Just watch the junk and try to avoid trans fat.
Right now just take care of your body and you'll be taking care of your baby.

Relax. Get as much rest as you can. Your body will start changing, so try to enjoy the changes. Take prenatal vitamins which you can get at any sav-on drug store. However, the doctor will prescribe some and they may be cheaper through your insurance. Enjoy. There is nothing like being a mother.

Calm down, first of all. Have you told your "other" that he is gonna be a daddy? Are you excited? Were you trying for a baby? Be happy that you are going to bring a new little life into the world. Pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Congrats and good luck.

You've just found out you're pregnant but registered here at the beginning of October as Mom2Be and you're seeing the doctor on the 20th of this month... so you've known a while I guess?
If I were you I'd start buying baby clothes!
