I was wondering if it is possible to plug my camcorder (samsung vp-w61-d..yea i know its old!) directly (somehow) straight into my pc (running win xp sp2) and be able to upload directly onto the hard drive to then enable me to burn onto dvd(yes i have a dvd-rw)

You'll need a video capture card that simply plugs into a PCI slot, and tehn you just plug the camera in.

Windows XP comes with it's own movie making software, but assuming you have DVD drive, chances are you'll already haveing the POwerDVD suite of software, which will allow you to create movies and burn them to DVD.

There is a vast array of video capture cards on the market - make sure that the one you get has the appropriate connections for teh cam - typically the red, yellow & white AV sockets.

Yes, if you have a video card with the same inputs that your camcorder has for outputs.

You can then use something as simple as MovieMaker to do the recording for you. Burn with Nero or whatever application you have.

You have to get a printer that matches your camera... they memory stick should fit right into the printer and the pictures will pop up on the computer...
