No ur not mental. I'm a germafobic. Every time I touch my ears or nose I'm in the kitchen washing my hands. I'm afraid to touch dirty dishes and cant stand when other people are sloppy eaters. Why didnt you want to drink the one with the plastic film on it? Is it because u were afraid u were gunna choke? Its ok, its possible if the film is too large and comes off in your mouth. (I prob. would've done it too lol =) ) dont be sad, think about it..... Its pretty funny right? If you get a good laugh about it no dobut you will feel ship-shape.

There is a psychological mental illness called obsessive-compulsive disorder where the subject is obsessed with something. Howard Hughes had this problem and he was greatly obsessed with germs. He used to wear gloves to avoid contact with germs and was always paranoid from things that he was not certain they were clean. Is it possible that you have this disorder? Maybe. But you have to seek a professional's opinion. Also, for some people it is a mild obsession but for others it is so sever that it interferes with their normal life.

Sounds like OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I think some people, at least, consider that a mental illness. I have a friend who's mom has OCD. She has gone to a couple places that try to help her overcome it, but she's too far gone for it to work. It's something about her brain, she's missing something in her brain.

It sounds like you are germ-a-phobic. There are many people who worry more than necessary about germs in food products, but that is not a mental illness.

If you opened six or more containers and could not eat any of them because they all were ever so slightly imperfectly sealed, that would be a possible sign of a mental illness.

Take care,
Troy

sounds like a little paranoia to me...did you smoke a doobie before heading to the fridge? Do you see little fairies dancing on the clear plastic of the yoghurt? and do you ever get chased by a big monster down the high street?

you might well be considered mentally challenged because you were stupid enough to smoke pot!!

It's probably OCD, but definitely not a severe form. And really OCD is quite common. I encourage you to do some research on it and you may find that most people have quirks that are considered OCD.

Sounds like a small bit of obsessive compulsive disorder, but don't worry, many people have little O.C.D. hang-ups.
