Depends on your lawyer, you have to call up as many as possible and get quotes. Yes just like purchasing a car. LOL

What do you mean by "Down" ?
Do you mean as a down payment to a lawyer ?
Depends on the lawyer..
Most divorces cost about $150 - $200 to file with the court..
You do not have to get a lawyer in many states ...Get the forms off of the internet...
most divorces lawyers on simple cases are only a couple of hundred dollars ....

You mean to your attorney filing the divorce, it is just according to the type of divorce you are getting. Go to your atty. talk to them and they'll tell what your down payment will be, some atty's vary, it's just up to your atty. It doesn't cost to ask sometimes you can call in and the secretary will give a cost.

Depends where you go, what attorney, yadda, yadda....My divorce cost 275...not including the filing fee of 150. Good luck and Congratulations!!!!
