Depends on where you putting it. I honestly do not think this is a question do to the lack of information but here we go anyway. If it is on the out side of the motor you run the risk of the sugar in the syrup catching fire and burning the car to the ground. If it is inside the fuel and engine you run the risk of clogging injectors, burning valves, and pistons, seizing up the engine do to oil break down and clogging the fuel filter and lines.

What do you do with the syrup? There's at least a dozen places I can name where someone can put syrup in your engine, it could do anything from clog the fuel pump to lock the cylinders up to make it overheat and explode...

You can't be serious! What other reason on earth would someone put syrup in an engine unless to screw it up?

That would make it a "sweet ride" alright, but I'd stick with motor oil, the syrup's viscosity will not hold up during driving.
