That's a good question.
In order to have won the House and tied the Senate, they recruited a lot of Conservative, Pro-Gun, Pro-Life Democrats.
I hope that Pelosi and Reid will steer a Moderate course, straight down the middle. If they try to push a hard left, liberal agenda, they are going to fall on their face. The same thing happened to the Republicans when they wanted to "reform" Social Security and set up a guest worker program. Members of their own party revolted against the President.

The democratic leadership will tell them if they want to be on any committees they'll forget the conservatism crap and tow the liberal line. The leadership just used them to get back in power because they knew they couldn't get back in power by running a bunch of liberals. 2 years from now you'll see the dem conservative will vote with the liberals 9 out of 10 times.
