Quick pinch and it's over. Scale of 1-10 is generally a 5 or 6, but it's over before you know it. The area around it will feel bruised for about a week or so, afterward. Avoid wearing tight pants that will irritate it.
Do not use alcohol or anything more harsh than orange/yellow Dial antibacterial soap, in order to clean it. Satin or Provon are better options, as they are less harsh. Don't play with the piercing and don't adjust the jewelry. The more you touch your piercing, the higher the risk for infection and possible rejection.
Good luck :)

My belly button piercing hurt worse than my ears, tragus, and 3 tats combined lol. I could barely move at all the first day, and after 9 months it still hadn't healed so I took it out. BUT, he put it through in the wrong place and crooked at that. I've had several piercers tell me that it shouldn't have felt like that and that it was all the his mistake. Almost everyone I know said it wasn't that bad after a couple of hours.

I felt no pain at all. There was some slight discomfort and no bad smell. I have an extremely low threshold for pain. I don't know if it had anything to do with the tubal ligation I had like the previous year, but I actually felt nothing and even asked him when was he going to do it and he said he was done. I guess it is different for everybody. Just make sure you go to some one who knows what they are doing.

Mines is pierced, and I was very fortunate. It barely hurt. Just a pinch. I washed it twice a day with antibacterial soap for about 2 or 3 weeks and I've NEVER had a problem with it. Don't be scared!!! :o)

Well if you got a high tolerance, you will be okay...it's less pain then getting your cartiledge pierced....but it does hurt indeed...for awhile because your pants rub against it...and ur shirt and it irrates it...I took mine out.
But you also should be away of the implications, if they hit a wrong nerve...or something, it can be dangerous or even fatal...make sure you goto a recognized place...and aware of whether they had incidents like that before.

The actual peircing doesnt hurt. Its just the healing process that stings. some days worse then others. Just becareful with the clothes you wear, and remmber not to tug on it or to not move around too much if ur laying down on your belly.
Clean it twice a day. U can use alcohol but that sortad dried out my skin so ask ur piercer for a better suggestion. When u clean it, leave ur shirt lifted up till it dries. You dont want to cover it because bacteria grows in moist dark places.
Its not that bad, trust me

It's a quick sharp pain and a dull ache afterwards. Not bad at all. You ABSOLUTELY have to keep the area clean and follow all the advice your piercist gives you. Bellybutton piercings are easily infected and take a long time to heal.

Ask around to find somewhere good. Mine didn't hurt at all really...not more than regular ear piercing. But what I've heard is the pain AFTERWARDS if you don't get it done right. My friend got hers done and 2 years later it still hurts.

i have a high tolerance for pain as well and mine hurt pretty bad. they do it really quicly though, so it's only hurts for a second. it also wasn't painful at all while it was healing. the amount of pain experienced probably depends on the person though.

on a scale of 1-10 the piercing is a 7, but when the piercing is new and you bump is or catch your fingernail on in.....I have to rate it a 10+
