I was convicted 14 years ago of a low class felony, released on ROR and ordered to pay a fine. Now I am going for a job with a bank and was required to provided felony info even if expunged. Also, provided finger prints. I did admit to the felony on the application, but I just want to know if this conviction which happened over 1/2 my life time ago will stop me from landing this gig? Please help!!!!!!!

after ten years they will not be able to pull it up in the type of search they use but if your really worried about it you can get a lawyer and have it expunged from your record

You didn't mention what the felony was. If it was over money issues I would say that your chances are not good, it all depends on the bank's employment policy.

If they tell you that they can't hire you because of your conviction that is considered discrimination. However, more than likely they will not tell you that you didn't get hired because of the conviction. If you have the skills for the job then there isn't really any reason not to hire you.Ecspecially if you put YES to ever convicted on the applcation. goodluck :)
