She can only turn in police reports for drugs and alcohol abuse and unless there is one for domestic violence, then no way. It would be hearsay without proof. She can probably get supervised visits for you on the drugs and alcohol if she feels you are a threat to your newborn, until the time comes theyre no longer needed as you are no longer any kind of threat. It would be somewhat advantageous if she did say you hit her without any kind of hard proof as then it would be hearsay and the judges dont like that in their courtrooms so therefor he would be leary of anything else she says. He would view her as a vengeful wife only out to "get" back at you which is not good for her. Good luck

Depends on what state you are in and the law and if she has proof. Drugs and alcohol aint a pretty thing for the judge to see.It probely would be supervised come clean with drugs and alcohol I know you can do it I used meth for 6 years and about lost my world and that is my kids. I have been clean now for 2 years. And it was hard. You need proof that you are comming clean go to AA meetings or NA meetings. If your wife can prove these things and the judge believes her you better prove you are comming clean and you want to be apart of this childs life. Good luck man

the for most part the juddge will tend to believe her because women play a defenseless role, as far as the police reports for drugs and alcohol, it all depends on how long ago they were dated, if they were not recent and you can prove emotional, physical, and financial stability in ur life, the you should have nothing to worry about. if the two of you ever had a domestic dispute and the police came out and took a report then they may be able to use that for something, if there was no report then theres nothing to worry about. like the saying goes- if it wasn't documented, it never happened. - just pray on ur circumstamces and leave it to God

Super vised visits only. Your history of drugs and alcohol and the police reports will keep you from being alone with the baby. And it is up to the judge . you may get no visitation

DID YOU HIT HER ?
Having a problem with drugs and alcohol automatically makes you look guilty.
There are nice guys in divorce court right now getting screwed over because of the men that abuse their wives.
The guilty parties should pay for their anger and abuse .
But as you are judged by your addictions so are innocent men because of the abusersof women .
All men are being generalized as guilty as abusers unless we can PROVE otherwise .

Just because you have never been arrested for domestic violence does not mean that you have never done it before..perhaps the other women never reported you to the police because they were scared and cowards. For you to post such a ridiculous and selfish question is beyond me. Perhaps go to therapy and realize that violence is not the answer...!

Hmm you got a lot of kind remarks. Ok go to Yahoo groups and check under father's rights, family law, divorce groups etc. You should still be able to see your child for visitation.
Just don't piss off your wife-argueing is enough for a DV charge. Good luck!

Your in deep. It will be used against you. Better get a really good attorney, statements from your job about your conduct, friends, neighbors, ect. If you cant get any proof that your not a violent person in submission of court your pretty much swimming in a landless lake. Good luck.

First of all I'm concerned have you struck your wife....and then if not I can't see her making a claim like that without the necessary evidence to make her case against you...
