If you were going to the movies would you rather go to the theatre or a drive-in? I fortunetly live close enough to a drive-in to enjoy it. You can bring your own food, wear what you want(nobody can see what you are wearing), you can smoke, or even drink. I wish they would make a come back.

Oh yeah, I used to love the Drive In, but in our city they have all been closed because the land was too valuable. I remember some great makeout sessions as a teenager, and then when my kids were little, we would pile into the car, them in their jammies, and bring our favorite snacks, and have a great evening.

yea, i hate the theater where you can't smoke or drink beer...
kids are hollering...
flashing laser pointers on the screen, etc...
i won't go,
there is one drive-in left in tucson,
one left in milwaukee,
i know the dvd and vcr before that killed them,
but yet the indoor movie theaters seem to be doing good,
it doesn't make sense to me,
but it must be economics, because if they made $$$'s they would thrive, right?
also the old drive-in food places were fun, you'd order your hamburger, fries, and a girl brings it to your car,
not to be so lazy, but like you could be coming home from the beach in you swimming suit!

Yes I do. It was nice going to the drive-in on nights when the weather was good. I miss laying on the hood of the car eating snacks that we sneaked in. Ah, the good ole days. Sigh

Yes I do, they remind me of all the great summers I had, growing up. I got to travel quite a bit as a kid, but I loved to go to drive ins with my friends. I used to also go with my parents.. They are some of my fondest memories. I haven't been to one in about 5 years or so. I will try to go this next summer, thanks for bringing a smile to my face.

I miss them like crazy. My father owned & operated 3 before he died & the whole family worked there. I was very young, but I miss the whole atmosphere, not to mention the night breeze & all those car loads of people.

right now, i prefer theaters because it's ridiculously cold. in the summer, i prefer drive-ins. there's three around where I live. they are really fun, but every year they get dumpier. nobody goes anymore and they're barely breaking even. it's sad.

I live in a very small town in the yukon (Canada), so I have never been to one, I drove by one in ontario b4. I would probably like it though.
