What is your favorite christmas song ? and why ?
Mine is Walking in a winter wonderland because I like walking in a winter wonderland and it has such taste to it and musical :)

Carol of the Bells! For some reason, songs in minor keys are interesting to me. They aren't depressing as much as suspenseful. I love writing music in minor keys, writing in major keys makes it seem to happy-go-lucky. (I do some composing) We are doing a christmas song medley in band. I get Walking in a Winter Wonderland stuck in my head all the time. I am a percussionist an I play sleighbells and timpani for it. :D

O Holy Night. It is the only one of the six Christmas songs available for playing on the radio that isn't played more than once an hour. I am curious as to why that is, I do know there are a lot of Christmas songs out there and yet only a small number of them are recorded (and re-recorded over and over again) by various artists (who may put their own style on those songs, but they are still the same songs). Within a week of Christmas music starting I'm on the verge of looking for a yule log to beat myself over the head with, or a grandmother to hang out with in hopes that I will be run over by a reindeer.

My favourite is "Happy Xmas/War Is Over" by John Lennon. It's such a wonderful song with a wonderful message of peace - it always puts me in the Christmas spirit.

O christmas tree is my favorite I don't have a reason it's just always been my favorite and walking in a winter wonderland is one of my favorites too.
