Well, i guess that you can find some great info on sites live hastalavista.com where you can find many tools to start playing and more important, to see the way they work and to protect against them.

Another, you can look at some kind of analysis about name resolution and that kinna stuffs in irder to see the way the internet works.

Another easier page to find some other information security threads (virus and spyware and all that) works is on www.howstuffsworks.com, its a pretty good to learn about internet an that kinna stuffs.
