I live in a very rural part of Wv and I've been a part of the community theatre for 7 years and before that I've acted with my school and church. I've been performing since kindergarten and I love it but where I am there is very little to do to pursue an acting/singing career. Anyone have any tips on how I can put myself farther out there short of moving? I plan on moving to either New York or California eventually but I can't right now. Any suggestions?

Have you ever though of maybe creating your own performing group with others who share your enthusiasm for acting? That's usually how a lot of theater groups get started... There are people who what to act but have no place to go, or groups or perform with outside of the run of the mill community playhouse, or theater. So they find a group, find a play, and then find a place to perform it.
(btw, setting up and running a group like this is a fantastic crash course on real life theater!) I'm actually in the process of doing this right now! (it's fantastically difficult, but incredibly rewarding!)
