I took the test the other day, just one day late. I had spotting a couple weeks ago, not much. I have 3 kids so I know some of the signs. I did have headaches for about a week and if someone showed me a big fat hamburger right now, I would get sick. I live in a small town and can't get to any stores right now to buy a better test. I don't want to have my husband buy one, just in case I'm not I think I would break his heart if it was neg. I just was wondering if anyone else had problems with those cheap dollar store test?

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I took a HPT two days before my period was due using the high price EPT from walmart because it was supposed to tell you if your pregnant up to four days before your period. Needless to say it gave me a big fat neg. So when I didn't start, I waited two days then went and bought 2 of those cheap dollar store test and what do you know, the first one showed a positive within 3 minutes, did the next one the following morning just to be sure and again a positive. So I guess even though they are cheap they still work just as good. I'd wait a few days and if you haven't started, I'd buy another test. If again it's neg. and you still haven't started, call and make an appointment with your doctor. They can always do a blood test. Good luck, I hope all works out for you.

Cheap ones work just the same as the expensive ones, its just that the expensive ones trick you into believing that they test is the best and want you to spend ALOT of money just to see if you are.

For my 3rd pregnancy, Im almost 30 weeks now, I took a cheap test to find out if I was pregnant, and I was. The tests all check to see if you have that hormone in your system, even if you are, you may not have enough of the hormone to show up on ANY test, cheap or expensive

Even the cheap ones work about as well. But you may just want to test in a few more days. You might not have enough of the HCG hormone yet. Best of luck! I hope you get the result you're looking for!

I took 4 different tests from the dollar store (all positive) then took a $12 test, still positive, then had a doctor's blood test, and guess what, still positive! The best results are if you use first morning urine (highest level or hormones).

No, I don't think it's because of a cheap test. I used one from the dollar store and was just as accurate as the one they used in the doctor's office- positive...Just wait for a few days and retest.

Hello

All the test pretty much have the same operating system

But you could always wait a bit and try again

best of luck

wait two weeks and try again. Tests don't magically work the day you're pregnant, you have to wait till the hormones are high enough. as for the test, im sure its probably accurate enough to work in two weeks.
hope this helped.

did u use the test with your first urine sample if you didnt with the clear blue it may not of detected the hormone it needs to try again tomorrow with the first sample of the day try not to drink loads too as this can affect the amount of hormone its trying to detect i did loads of tests my first was really faint my second said pregnant my 3rd said i wasnt and so did my 4th so i waited 48 hours then tested again and got the positive for the next 10 tests i did i know its frustrating having to wait but trust me its worth it if u get the answer your looking for good luck
