As you know, they killed her off at the end of the first season. She was killed in a plane crash (actually, she was driving, and a plane crashed into her). Since then, she has not been back on the show. They brought in the chunky woman lawyer from The Practice to take her place as Jennifer Love Hewitt's partner and friend (though the new girl doesn't know about her gift yet).

She is going back to csi when she is finished doing movies. The producers asked her to come back to csi . I think cameryn manheim is really good on ghost whisperer now but i still miss aisha tyler. good luck and god bless and happy thanksgiving.

She wanted to focus on making movies. She has three upcoming movies (The Santa Clause 3, .45, Balls of Fury), and is scheduled to be in Death Sentence.
When she's that much in demand, why waste her time on a TV show and trying to work her movie filming schedule around that?

I think she wanted a big role....not side character. But not sure.
But....didn't the way her character die.....and how she and us the viewers found out.....was way cool.
