Now that the people have spoken ,actually, shouted at the top of our lungs, can the pompous right meet in the middle and work towards what is right and good for everyone ,not just the elite base?I'm hoping this resounding message to Bush,et al,will be a wake up to all involved.I don't care who can do the job, just do it and stop arguing about who is doing what to who and for whom they do it.Enough!

It is no longer for the Republicans to meet in the middle, but rather the Democrats. The Democrats have resisted all efforts on the bi-partisan front during Republican control. Now they control the Congress and must try to pass their own legislative agenda. Just pointing to the other side and saying EVIL is no longer a viable option. The Democrats were not voted in, The Republicans were voted out. The Democrats do not have a mandate from the people. If the Democrats have a plan for change they need to institute it, but they will not be able to do it alone. The Republicans are now the minority party and that is it always easier politically because all you have to do is criticize the other side and ultimately not be held accountable. Further the president has veto power and I am sure he will use it more now than he has in the past. Democrats are at the beginning of the road and it is a long one. The next 2 years will be nothing more than a complete government stalemate unless they reach across the aisle and attempt to craft meaningful bi-partisan legislation. Democrats are in the worst possible situation. They do not have a large majority and they have to deal with a president who they have slandered mercilessly. We shall see how they react. Will they meet the challenge honorably or just continue to blame the opposition?

In 2 years we will likely have a democrat president as well. Think about that. If things do not change or if they get worse, who will we blame then?

SCREW YOUR POLITICS

how do you think we got our freedom by standing back.

in the public eyes iraq does not deserve freedom like ours. we need keep fighting the terrorist for the people OF THE WORLD from the terrorist who rule it. and we are not dictator we are freedom fighters who fight for FREEDOM, JUSTICE AND LIBERTY. unfortunitly people lost sight of it and voted wrong yesterday.

and morally we are now also headed in the wrong direction. people need to be responible for their action and not blame it on science or the society.

finally for the budget there goes the state and national level budget and economy and our taxes. people what things to be in place for a better country and community. but who do you think we pay for it in the long run. we do with our taxes, not with the so called federal and state money people think we have.

country is in a mess thanks to the ungrateful american public who forget how our free
