Please wait until you are 12 weeks.

I have been pregnant twce and have miscarried twice. The first time we told everyone almost as soon as we knew, when we lost the baby at 12 weeks, the whole thing was made much worse by having to tell lots of people. The second pregnancy was lost at 10 weeks, no one knew and it has been much easier to cope with.

Its up to you. I waited until 12 weeks to tell people because of the risk of miscarriage, but colleagues guessed because of me constantly needing to be sick!
With my third pregnancy I had a threatened miscarriage at 7 weeks, and was in hospital for a few days. People knew, and then I miscarried at 9.5 weeks. For several weeks I had people congratulating me as they had heard I was pregnant, but not that I had miscarried, and it was very hard to cope with. My GP said 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage.
I hope everything goes well for you, and you have a healthy baby.

Tell them whenever YOU want to!!! There IS no 'time frame'. i know so many people think they shouldn't tell anyone "in case something happens." Well, don't you think your family and friends would want to help you and mourn with you if you DID lose a baby? I've always thought that 'hide the pregnancy' unless we miscarry thing was so ridiculous...then everyone is hit with the shock of it twofold. I say celebrate it the SECOND you find out!! That's what I did and I never regretted it for a minute!
CONGRATULATIONS!

After 12 weeks the miscarriage risk drops, before then only tell people who you know would be able to provide support if you were unlucky enough to have a miscarriage - but you nearly out of the time when most occur.
good luck and congratulations.

The risk of mis-carriage lessens after 12 weeks. This is why doctors recommend waiting till after this period to publicise it. Some people also say it is bad luck to tell in the first 12 weeks.

Congratulations!

With family anytime is the right time - you might want to hold off tell work colleagues etc. until you have passed the 12 week stage.

You can tell them now. But, if you are trying to be safe by 3 months any complications would have occurred already.
