If one path is the correct one from the other, isnt it your heart that defends the better of the two? If this may be true, how can you know the difference between an unconcious thought reinforcing the concious decision in hope of conformation rather than following the force that governs so many of us, the heart.

You get in trouble when you only follow your heart anyway. You have to follow your heart, your head, and sometimes just your gut. That said, you have to find a way to clear out all the noise that other people make around you before you can really get down to what is right for you.
