Its either been disabled (you can check by clicking view and toolbars), or you have too many toolbars up, or its been dragged up out of site (in which case you can place your cursor at the bottom of tool bars until you see an arrow and click and hold, drag it down) or, you have a toolbar hijacker and you will need to remove it with adware removal tools. If its been jacked, it may have come with some software you downloaded and this software will also need to be uninstalled!

Right click on the grey at the top of the screen (toolbar) and then select address bar.

Right click where that's supposed to be. put a check where address bar is.
If that don't work, you have it hidden, look around till you see some vertical dots, pull that along and find whats hidden behind them.

dont panic, just right click at the very top of your screen on the toolbar and select address bar.

Right click up there and check: Navigation toolbar. Did that help? If you are using Internet Explorer, you can always use a Control + O.
