the state of a system in which an abnormally large vibration is produced in response to an external stimulus, occurring when the frequency of the stimulus is the same, or nearly the same, as the natural vibration frequency of the system.

this is whereby an object vibrates in the same frequency with another object, This is due to the energy transfer from one object to the other.
reasonance occurs when one creates a vibration and the sorounding objects emit the same vibrations because of the frequency ernergy emmited.

example 1:

turn your Hi Fi system to full blast in the house and notice the windows will start to vibrate(this is resonance you will be experiencing).
experiment 2:

take a speaker then plug it to your system then birng it closer to another speaker example is in this format =[( )]= notice that the second speaker will emmit sound(coz of the vibration created dy the first speaker).

infact antenas use reasonance inorder to receive waves(channels)

also you can read a reserch report on it below

Here is another example of resonance: Imagine you are pushing someone on a swing; if you do not time your pushes correctly, then you end up working against yourself and the swinger will not go as high. However, if you do time your pushes right then each push will cause the swinger to go a little higher. Therefore, as the pusher, you have to push at the resonant frequency in order to have each push add energy to the swinger.

Resonance is when two sound frequencies are very closely matched. Since they are so closely matched there are times when the actual waves overlap and multiply in amplitude. The result is a wa wa wa effect.
