children under one year of age who experience more than 10 hours a week of separation from mom are gravely harmed emotionally, intellectually, and phsyically. there is no such thing as quality day care for an infant. she evolved to need you and is harmed by not having you. this other stuff is just sour icing on the bad cake. in fact, day care will continue to be harmful to your daughter even if you waited longer to put her in - it's damaging to kids 5 and under. the effects are serious and long-lasting.

I worked in plenty of daycares and I'll be the first to say accidents happen. Don't just pass this off as an accident though. Children are much too important to just sit back and hope thats all it is. Bring the problem to the teacher's attention as well as to the director's attention. Tell them you are concerned and want them to treat this diaper rash with extra care. The daycare should also send home a form that shows all of the diaper changes, feeding times and nap times. If you don't get one I would ask for one. Keep an eye on marks an bruses too... like i said accidents happen and kids get hurt but better safe than sorry, it happens.

Take you child to the doctor and find out if your child could be having a bad reaction to something at her daycare. Ask your doctor if the rash is something that she can get because of the type of type she is wearing, if they say no then you will know that your child has been neglected at the daycare and that no one is changing her diaper fast enough. When you take her to the day care count the amount of diapers you put into her change bag, when you pick her up count how many is left and that way you can determine the amount of times they change her within the time you drop her off and pick her up.Shes your child check it out and if you have to change daycare then do it. Good luck.

I think that you should change child care providers because you aren't comfortable with the environment. I can't say if this is neglect or not. You should stop in here and there as a surprise to see what is going on. Have you ever noticed her rubbing her feet too much- I only heard of that if she has exams. The best thing for a mother to do is go on gut intuition and go with that feeling. You could also talk to other parents and see what they say.

I would switch, when both my kids were in daycare, they NEVER had a rash, unless something was going on with my kids. when they were at their grandparents,my kids got rashes by the time they got back after their weekend with them. I would not stay with them, unless they have some good *** reason for her having a rash. My daycare provider always told me about the rashes if they did happen and why she thought they may have had the rash, basically they had runny poops and were constantly doing it. She always let me know about everything. SO if they dont care to share, I wouldnt stay.

kids are gonna have accidents and get hurt. that is all part of growing up. talk to the teacher in more detail about that sort of thing. and as far as the rash goes if it was caused by lack of diaper changes then you could talk with the people from the day care about that. or do some research and find a better day care.

Well it is preety normal for a baby or anyone that wears diapers to get a rash..usually a yeast infection.(it is prime condition in a diaper for that, warm and wet) It can be prevented though if they would change her every single time she peed...So I don't think is necessarily neglect but they could change her more frequently.
