Since most of you seem to think Bush Sr. & his old cronies are going to be helping out a lot in Bush Jr. last 2 years of foreign policy my question then is who is going to win the battle for the "heart and mind" of Bush Jr.? Richard Perle & the Neo Cons or Bush Sr. & his more moderate Republican advisors like Gates?

The Bush 43 team have been at odds with the Bush 41 team--in particular over the war. I think more heads probably may roll--but the one that needed to did.

Well bush Sr told W not to hire rumsfeld. He said he couldn;'t handle the job. Looks like daddy knows best. 2 more years, I hope we live that long. i feel as though culturally challenged Bush will start ww3 before then.

Cheney can't be on the chopping block. His position is not an appointed position. Bush can't just change his mind and appoint a new VP like he could with Rumsfeld.
